Abstract

Zusammenfassung Der vorliegende Artikel stellt Zusammenhänge zwischen Mitarbeiterengagement und Unternehmenserfolg dar. Darüber hinaus werden die Implikationen dieses Zusammenhangs für das Generationen-Management analysiert. Zahlreiche Studien aus dem Great Place to Work® Kontext zeigen positive Zusammenhänge zwischen Unternehmenserfolg – gemessen an harten betriebswirtschaftlichen Kennziffern wie Aktienkursentwicklung oder EBIT – und dem Engagement der Mitarbeitenden. Differenzierte Analysen mit aktuellen Daten aus der Benchmarkstudie „Deutschlands Beste Arbeitgeber 2020“ zeigen darüber hinaus, dass es zwischen den Generationen bzw. Alterssegmenten durchaus unterschiedliche Treiber für Engagement gibt, die es in der Personalarbeit zu beachten gilt.
