Abstract

Zusammenfassung Die chinesische Mittelschicht gewinnt an Fahrt und gibt gerne Geld aus. Entsprechend sind die Produktpaletten der Unternehmen parallel zur Entwicklung der Mittelschicht enorm gewachsen, und auch die Tourismusbranche profitiert immens von der wachsenden Mittelschicht. Zunehmender Tourismus und die damit einhergehende Internationalisierung des Konsumenten, mehr Individualismus, Online-Shopping und eine größere Produktpalette – all das sind Faktoren, die einen anspruchsvolleren chinesischen Verbraucher geschaffen haben. Für westliche Unternehmen hat diese Entwicklung weitreichende Konsequenzen und erfordert eine Anpassung ihrer Strategien.
