Abstract

Zusammenfassung Nach einem Rückgang der Gründungstätigkeit in den letzten Jahren hat das Gründertum und die Selbstständigkeit nun wieder mehr an Bedeutung gewonnen. Der vorliegende Beitrag erörtert Gründe sowohl für als auch wider der Selbstständigkeit. Auf Basis von Sekundärstudien, langjährigem und umfassendem Austausch im Gründernetzwerk und persönlicher Erfahrungen werden zum einen die Charakteristika und Erfolgsfaktoren eines Unternehmertyps dargestellt, zum anderen die Herausforderungen und Stolpersteine für Jungunternehmer erörtert, um damit für Gründungsinteressierte als Entscheidungshilfe zu fungieren. Dabei ist dieser Beitrag bewusst stellenweise ein wenig überspitzt dargestellt, um den Leser auf diese Weise in besonderem Maße zu sensibilisieren und sich bereits vor der Gründung intensiv mit den Chancen und Herausforderungen einer Gründung auseinanderzusetzen und somit das eigene Gründungsvorhaben auch langfristig erfolgreich zu meistern.
