Abstract

Zusammenfassung Seit die geistigen Väter der Sozialen Marktwirtschaft unser Wirtschafts- und Gesellschaftsmodell entwickelten, haben sich die großen Herausforderungen geändert. Vor 70 Jahren bestimmten die Stichworte Digitalisierung, Klimawandel oder Corona-Pandemie noch nicht die politische Agenda. Darauf muss die Politik reagieren, ohne dabei die leitenden Prinzipien zu verändern. Die Soziale Marktwirtschaft muss weder überarbeitet noch weiterentwickelt werden – ihre einfachen, allgemeingültigen Prinzipien müssen lediglich konsequent angewendet werden. Ein offener Leistungswettbewerb, die konsequente Koppelung von Freiheit des Einzelnen mit der Haftung für die damit verbundenen Risiken sowie ein schlanker und starker Staat sind noch immer das Erfolgsrezept für Wohlstand für alle.
