Abstract

Zusammenfassung Arbeiten und Wohnen stehen seit jeher in einem vielschichtigen Zusammenhang, der sich im Zuge des beschleunigten sozialen Wandels jedoch zunehmend ausdifferenziert. Ein Strang in der Ausdifferenzierung dieses Zusammenhangs zeigt, dass die Erwerbsarbeit wieder vermehrt an den Wohnort kommt, zuletzt massiv beschleunigt durch die Auswirkungen der Corona-Pandemie. Dies kann in Form des Arbeitens in der Wohnung (Home-Office) sein, aber auch in Form von wohnungsnahem Arbeiten, etwa in zugemieteten Zimmern innerhalb einer Siedlung oder in einem nahgelegenen Coworking-Space. Die derartigen Verbindungsweisen von Arbeiten und Wohnen haben Auswirkungen auf verschiedene planerische Bereiche wie etwa den Wohnungsbau, die Raumentwicklung und die Verkehrsplanung. Dementsprechend können Akteurinnen und Akteure aus diesen Bereichen einen Beitrag leisten, damit die Verbindung von Arbeits- und Wohnraum für die Erwerbstätigen besser gelingt, indem sie sich mit dessen Implikationen auseinandersetzen und innovative Gestaltungsansätze verfolgen.
