Abstract

Zusammenfassung Die Anforderungen, die eine Unternehmenskrise an einen Manager stellt zu verstehen setzt ein Grundverständnis von krisenhaften Unternehmensentwicklungen voraus. Dies insbesondere vor dem Hintergrund, dass der Handlungsspielraum des Managements umso größer ist, je eher eine Krise als solche erkannt wird. In diesem Kapitel wird erläutert, was der Begriff ‚Krise‘ bedeutet. Zunächst wird der Zusammenhang zwischen den drei Merkmalen ‚Krisenart‘, ‚Krisenursache‘ und ‚Krisenstadium‘ beschrieben. Die anschließende Einführung in das Lebenszykluskonzept dient als Grundlage für die Ausführungen zu typischen Entwicklungskrisen von Unternehmen.
