Abstract

Zusammenfassung Die Digitalisierung ist ein Prozess, der seit Jahren Grund für Umstrukturierungen in Unternehmen, Bequemlichkeiten im Privatleben und einen Wandel in unserer Gesellschaft ist. Jedoch ist Digitalisierung noch immer vordergründig männlich geprägt – bis jetzt. Denn die Digitalisierung birgt auch ein großes Karrierepotenzial für Frauen. Zahlreiche Initiativen und Organisationen deutschlandweit fördern seit Jahren das Interesse junger Frauen für den Bereich MINT (Mathematik, Informatik, Naturwissenschaften und Technik) und damit auch für viele digitale Jobs. Katja Werner beleuchtet in diesem Kapitel verschiedene Aus- und Weiterbildungsangebote für weibliche Digital Natives. Sie untersucht sowohl, wie diese Angebote angenommen werden und was sie bewirken können als auch was nötig wäre, um mehr Frauen den Weg in MINT-Berufe bzw. digitale Berufe zu ebnen. Dazu werden Chancen und Herausforderungen erörtert und durch die praxisbezogene Sichtweise sowie Handlungsempfehlungen von fünf Expertinnen ergänzt.
