Fundraising bei Stiftungen

Abstract

Zusammenfassung Unter einer Stiftung versteht man eine juristische Person, die einen vom Stifter bestimmten (Stiftungs-) Zweck dauerhaft fördern soll und dazu von ihm mit einer (Stiftungs-) Organisation und einem (Stiftungs-) Vermögen (z. B. Geld, Wertpapiere, Land, Wald, Immobilien) ausgestattet wird. Dabei wird in der Regel das Vermögen auf Dauer erhalten und nur der Fruchtertrag des Vermögens (z. B. Zinsen, Dividende, Pacht, Miete) für die Erfüllung des Stiftungszwecks verwendet. Im Rahmen des Fundraising wird nun versucht, bei ausgewählten Stiftungen per Antragsverfahren Mittel aus dem i. d. R jährlich auszuschüttenden Fruchtertrag einzuwerben. Diese Form des Fundraising soll hier als Stiftungs-Fundraising bezeichnet werden. Gemeint ist also das Fundraising bei Stiftungen, nicht das Fundraising für Stiftungen. Da Stiftungen – gerade in Zeiten niedriger Zinsen – zunehmend auch Fundraising in eigener Sache gegenüber Dritten betreiben, um ihr Stiftungsvermögen zu erhöhen, wird auch das Fundraising für Stiftungen verwirrenderweise manchmal als Stiftungs-Fundraising bezeichnet.
