Abstract

In today’s increasingly dynamic, complex, and interconnected world, the survival and success of a business hinge not only on crafting an appropriate strategy that enables firms to outperform their competitors, but also on the effective implementation and execution of that strategy. Operations management has emerged as a vital component of contemporary business studies because it underpins the critical processes needed to achieve strategic objectives. This chapter delves into the foundational concepts of operations and supply chain management, exploring their significance in the context of globalization.
