Abstract

Purpose: Contemporary society craves creativity that juxtaposes with advanced development emanating from an enabling environment in the citadel of higher education. This study, therefore, investigated the provision of the digital library as a catalyst for scholastic creativity among undergraduates in South-West, Nigeria. Design/Methodology/Approach: A correlational survey design was adopted. A randomly selected sample of 89 undergraduates from private universities in the South-West, Nigeria was utilized for data collection. The instrument of data collection was a structured questionnaire and was validated before administration. A Cronbach Alpha value of 0.75 estimated the internal consistency of items. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and the Pearson moment correlation coefficient. Findings: Results show that a greater percentage of undergraduates access and utilize the services rendered by digital libraries in their institutions.
