Abstract

This chapter briefly enumerates what have become chronic ills that plague the development industry. These include dubious evaluations and lessons never learned; poor operations and maintenance of donor investments; reinventing the wheel and institutional amnesia; delays, delays, and more delays; lost good work and lost opportunities; and privileged bubbles and donor elitism.
