Abstract

Digitalization is the main driver of transformation. This fact is obvious and needs no justification. Hidden Champions do not play an important role in the digitalization of B2C markets but are strong B2B digitalization. This applies equally to digital industrial products, processes, and services, some of which are installed on millions of devices without the user being aware of it. The prerequisite for success is a deep knowledge of industrial processes. Monetizing digital competencies remains a difficult challenge, even for the Hidden Champions.
