Abstract

Operations managementOperations Management investigates how companies can take inputs, convert them into end products and services, and deliver them to customers in a way that maximizes profits. As globalization increases it is becoming increasingly difficult for a company to accomplish such a task by itself. Instead, companies must rely on working with others in complex supply chainsSupply Chain to take raw materials and generate a final product for customers. As one might imagine, an innumerable number of these business-to-business interactions occur every day and involve bargaining, which is where operations managementOperations Management research has recently turned its attention.
