Abstract

This chapter discloses the systemic profile of each corporate function such as sales, procurement, and finance. This chapter describes in-depth how they operate and contribute individually to the viability of the entire organization. All too well-known routine tasks such as negotiations, quality audits, or the implementation of firewalls appear in a new light if viewed from a VSM perspective. Readers will understand better how the corporate functions operate across the entire viable system and gain first insights into the composition of the system functions.
