Abstract

This chapter examines the relevance of the circular economy in the tourism industry, highlighting how this model can mitigate environmental and social impacts, promote sustainability and improve competitiveness. Recommendations for the implementation of a circular economy strategy in the Valencian Region’s tourism industry are presented through a Participatory Action Research (PAR) process. The importance of an impact culture in the transition to a circular economy is also highlighted.
