Unethical practices in businesses may be defined as act of doing which stands below the stated standard code of business code of conduct. It even combines such practices too which are accepted of being morally incorrect and lead to misrepresentation of facts, ill-treatment with people and environment too. The major objective behind this empirical study is to understand the ethical or unethical tactics that are followed by various organizations to hold their stake in the industry. We specifically would like to focus on the Indian IT industry and the practices that are followed by organizations in this ecosystem to be market leaders, also, as to how the organizations are building their policies in order to give ethical competition to their competitors through the strategic decisions. Further, we have also analyzed the impact on the market capital of the companies due to the unethical practices in each area when the issues surface and it comes into the light of public and certain measures that companies take to avoid these unethical practices have been discussed. Reliability, validity, factor analysis and ANOVA test are applied to obtain the objective and discuss the findings.
