Abstract

This work is based on a survey of 50 completed questionnaires collected from both business owners and their managers, in Thessaly (Greece). The business units of the research are food and belong to the primary and secondary sectors (livestock units and livestock cooperatives). Three main questions were investigated in this work that focus on: (a) the potential relationship of warehouse with supply chain performance, (b) the potential relationship of inventory with supply chain performance, and (c) the potential combined relationship of warehouse and inventory with supply chain performance. According to the results, there is a relationship between factors considered by inventory with corresponding factors of supply chain performance, as well as the relationship between factors considered by warehouse and inventory (combined) with corresponding factors of supply chain performance is also confirmed.
