Abstract

This contribution aims to give an overview of the research issue on weekly program filling in the automotive industry and presents an approach to improve this process by using a logistic assistance system. This system supports a dispatcher at choosing customer orders for a production week and takes into account the large amount of restrictions. Finally, results of the heuristic used are presented.
