Abstract

Cadastral systems worldwide are evolving rapidly, with a growing emphasis on enhancing them through the incorporation of 3D spatial representations of land and real estate resources. This trend is driven by the ambition to create comprehensive 3D cadastre systems. In the Ukrainian context, this progress is particularly pronounced within the domain of geospatial data infrastructure development. Notably, in the aftermath of the postwar period, researchers and esteemed experts in the field of cadastral systems can play a vital role. Their primary focus lies in the development of 3D models, which serve as invaluable tools for seamlessly integrating and consolidating data related to land and real estate complexes. The significance of this approach is underscored by the challenges posed by the postwar landscape, highlighting the potential functionality of 3D modeling in the reconstruction and management of land and real estate data. With this in mind, the integration of these 3D models demands substantial adjustments within Ukraine’s regulatory framework. An examination of the practical implementation of 3D cadastral models reveals a striking absence of standardized methodological approaches, further emphasizing the need to develop such a system. The central focus of this chapter is to explore the processes of generating, classifying, and structuring spatial 3D models, all while assessing their accuracy. This effort aims to facilitate the advancement of a 3D cadastre system in Ukraine. Building the analysis and the refinement of classifiers for 3D spatial models of land and real estate complexes, a formalization process can begin for the structuring of components and composition of existing models within Ukraine’s cadastre. These components encompass the constructive model, cadastral identification model, and geospatial model. This, in turn, facilitates the creation of Ukraine’s 3D cadastre system and offers the potential to reevaluate or merge existing cadastral methods at the national level.
