Abstract

This paper deals with what P. A. Samuelson omitted in the text of his article on spatial equilibrium although he mentioned it in its footnote. The footnote reads as: “… cargo going from London to San Francisco is not to be treated as both an import and export of Panama.”2 However, if goods are landed at Colón and shipped again from Panama City, they are considered to be Panama’s re-exports.
