Abstract

This Chapter is devoted to a discussion of theoretical perspectives on infrastructure and the space economy. Our starting point is Table 3.1, according to which transport infrastructure investments have both temporary and non-temporary effects on the economy. A major temporary effect concerns the stimulation of employment and income during the construction phase via the demand side.
