Abstract

Human capital becomes increasingly important for the functioning and development of the contemporary enterprise. It determines its economic potential and enables building competitive advantage. It is also the main source and stimulus of innovation. In the paper there is discussed the problem of the role of investment in human capital for the enterprise development. There is also presented the issue of human capital as the basic resource creating innovation potential of an enterprise.
