Abstract

This chapter will focus on presenting and discussing the findings with regard to technical efficiency, cost efficiency, revenue efficiency and profit efficiency of Chinese commercial banks using the methods described in the previous chapter. The second part of this chapter will concentrate on presenting and describing the risk conditions in the Chinese banking industry. The third part of this chapter mainly reports and discusses the findings in terms of the relationship between risk and efficiency in the Chinese banking industry. It will be divided into two sub-sections: the first subsection will explain the impact of risk on efficiency of Chinese commercial banks, while the second will discuss the relationship between risk and efficiency in the Chinese banking industry. Finally, the conclusion will be provided.
