Abstract

Financial services firms are seeking to migrate into the role of a trusted advisor for individuals and small business. A lesser known technology that has an enormous potential for the financial services industry is that of ‘valagents’. Valagents or value exchange agents are intelligent agent technologies that provide a bridge between advice and action in financial services. Agent-based technology can be employed directly to the value proposition of a customer relationship by performing functions such as a consolidated portfolio view, portfolio rebalancing, asset allocation recommendations, risk mitigation and trade execution optimization.
