Abstract

Self-management in Algeria originated in a situation of complete breakdown when the economy was left in shambles. It cannot be said with any degree of certainty whether or not, the spontaneous emergence of self-management was rooted in cultural or historical traditions, but some possible factors should be briefly discussed.
