Abstract

While over half of the cases discussed in this book show acquisitions which were not as successful as they could have been, this first Anglo-American case outlines how acquisitions can be handled in an efficient manner, thereby eliminating much of the uncertainty and angst which can accompany the process. While not all acquirers have, or need, a specialized acquisition team, the principles demonstrated by the team in following a systematic process of acquisition implementation can be adapted by other acquirers.
