Abstract

Regardless of which country or profession you look at, the progress of women managers has been pretty slow. Whether you consider the public or the private sector, different countries, different industry sectors or the situation at junior, middle or senior management level, change is happening, but at a slow pace. Our own experience of working in a leading business school means that we talk to many women managers. Some are already at middle and senior executive levels and others are just starting their career. It’s great to know that some of these women work for organizations with a total commitment to diversity and equality issues, as the quotes from our survey illustrate:
