Stakeholder Dialogue in Polish Organizations

In: The Role of Large Enterprises in Democracy and Society

Abstract

Socially responsible business seems to be the result of profound pressures on firms coming from their organizational environment, including various stakeholder groups. It also seems to be the result of a strong belief that, when opposed, such pressures might become a source of potential threat and risk to the corporate entities. However, when incorporated into company strategy, stakeholders’ expectations might become a source of competitiveness and market advantage, which seems to be well grounded in the open systems theory.
