Abstract

Leadership is of paramount importance for conducting a successful business and developing an organization. It is a process during which one can direct, manage, motivate, and stimulate employees within an organization. Every leader needs to create a positive atmosphere in the team, encourage the employees to show their creativity and share innovative ideas, and cooperate with the employees. A leader exhibits several leadership styles depending on the industry he is working in, the people he interacts with, and the issues facing him. Emotional intelligence plays a part in deciding which leadership style he will use. A high level of emotional intelligence aids him in managing stressful situations and establishing rapport with his coworkers. He becomes a good leader through experience and he is able to follow changes occurring in the world and adapt to them with his team. This means that the team will effectively and efficiently perform tasks and enjoy a good reputation. Experience and a high level of emotional intelligence are important prerequisites for creating a successful leader. He will be able to control and deal with his emotions during stressful situations and understand and recognize the emotions of his disciples.
