Abstract

Este capítulo presenta un modelo de localización de áreas potenciales para el desarrollo sostenible del cultivo de palma en el ámbito amazónico con los menores impactos ambientales posibles y satisfaciendo los nuevos estándares ambientales y sociales a nivel internacional, como los de la certificación RSPO (Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil). En ese sentido, representa una contribución al debate sobre la implementación de los procesos de ordenamiento territorial en la Amazonía, así como también puede contribuir en la elaboración de la interpretación nacional de la RSPO en el Perú.
