Abstract

Analiza la situación del microcrédito en Colombia, así como algunas de sus características frente a las microfinanzas, revisando los aspectos relevantes sobre su importancia social, intermediación y población objetivo, presentando cifras sobre la profundización financiera, y analizando el tamaño del mercado viéndolo desde la oferta, demanda cubierta y demanda potencial. Brinda, también, una revisión de programas creados a partir de acciones gubernamentales para promover e impulsar las microfinanzas.
