Abstract

Historia del territorio denominado Gran Zenú, donde habitaban los indígenas zenues los cuales tenían un gran desarrollo cultural con expertos orfebres, tejedores y ceramistas quienes ejecutaban los objetos en oro, una estructura agrícola con un sistema hidráulico con canales para evitar las inundaciones, poder pescar y producir los alimentos, un sistema funerario donde se enterraba con el grado de importancia del muerto sus pertenencias de oro en montículos, los cuales fueron saqueados por los españoles.||*Este capítulo se encuentra incluido en la primera parte del libro Cartagena de Indias en el siglo XVI, titulada "El mundo indígena"
