Describe los hechos económicos de mayor trascendencia ocurridos durante 1963 y 1973, las dificultades del comercio exterior desde la finalización de la Segunda Guerra Mundial y las medidas tomadas por el Banco de la República. Se crea el Estatuto cambiario, El fondo Financiero Industrial, Proexpo y el Fondo Financiero de Desarrollo Urbano.||*Este capítulo se encuentra incluido en la III parte del libro Historia del Banco de la República 60 años, titulada "Evolución institucional del Banco de la República"
