Innovation und Interessenvertretung in kleinen und mittleren Unternehmen

Abstract

Vor dem Hintergrund schwieriger Innovationsbedingungen insbeson dere in kleinen und mittleren Unternehmen (KMU) einerseits, häufig schwach ausgeprägter Mitbestimmungs strukturen in KMU andererseits, geht die Studie der These nach, dass zwischen Innovation und Interessenvertre tung positive Wechselbeziehungen bestehen können. Wesentliche Untersuchungsgrund lage sind betriebliche Fallstudien in 30 KMU, davon 20 in Thüringen und 10 in Hessen. Im Ergebnis zeigt sich, dass in Thüringen wie in Hessen gerade in überdurchschnittlich innovativen Betrieben i.d.R. eine umfassende Einbeziehung von Beschäftigten und Betriebsräten in Innovations prozesse stattfindet. Dement sprechend geht die Studie auch den Faktoren nach, die für die Ausprägung einer betrieblichen Sozialverfassung, in der sich ein beteiligungsorientiertes 'Innovationsklima' entwickeln kann, bedeutsam sind.
