Mitbestimmung im Handwerk: Die Geschichte der Arbeitnehmerbeteiligung in der Selbstverwaltung des Handwerks

Abstract

Die Arbeitnehmerbeteiligung in den Selbstverwaltungsorganisationen des Handwerks ist eine einzigartige Form überbetrieblicher Mitbestimmung, allerdings wird sie wissenschaftlich wie medial kaum beachtet. Die Studie zeichnet nach, wie die Arbeitnehmerbeteiligung 1953 unter den besonderen Umständen der Nachkriegszeit Eingang in die Handwerksordnung fand und wie sie in den Jahrzehnten danach trotz ambivalenter Haltung der Betriebsinhaber schrittweise ausgebaut wurde. Eine paritätische Mitbestimmung wurde zwar nicht erreicht, aber die Idee der Wirtschaftsdemokratie zumindest teilweise realisiert.
