Volkswirtschaftliche Bedeutung des Industriellen Sektors in Deutschland: Eine vergleichende Analyse auf nationaler und internationaler Ebene

Abstract

Mit dem Wachstum des Dienstleistungssektors geht in Politik und Öffentlichkeit oft der Eindruck einer schwindenden Bedeutung des industriellen Sektors einher. Vor diesem Hintergrund untersucht die vorliegende Studie die Entwicklung des Industriesektors in den Jahren 1991-2020 und seine heutige Stellung. Anhand verschiedener volkswirtschaftlich relevanter Kriterien wird die herausragende Bedeutung des industriellen Sektors für die deutsche Volkswirtschaft und sein besonderer Stellenwert im internationalen Vergleich deutlich. Zudem trägt er aufgrund der engen Verflechtung mit dem Dienstleistungssektor maßgeblich zu dessen Wachstum bei.
