Das Apartheid-Wage-Gap: Section 27 des südafrikanischen Employment Equity Act und dessen Potential zum Abbau diskriminierender Vergütungsabstände in Südafrika

Abstract

Infolge der Apartheid ist Südafrika nach wie vor durch eine besonders starke Ungleichheit der Einkommen gekennzeichnet. Zur Überwindung der Rassendiskriminierung reicht eine formale Gleichstellung nicht aus. Es muss auch die vertikale Entgeltdiskriminierung beseitigt werden, also der extreme Unterschied zwischen typisch "schwarzen" und typisch "weißen" Berufen. Die Studie schildert den politischen Prozess in Südafrika und erörtert Möglichkeiten, wie Südafrika und Deutschland (etwa bei der Überwindung des Gender-Pay-Gaps) voneinander lernen können.
