Branchenanalyse Holzbearbeitungsmaschinenindustrie

Abstract

Die Holzbearbeitungsmaschinenindustrie ist eine besondere Branche innerhalb des deutschen Maschinenbaus, die international sehr wettbewerbsfähig ist und hochinnovativ am Markt agiert. Sie setzt auf eine flexible Qualitätsproduktion im High-end-Bereich der Produktpalette, die nur mit einem hohen Anteil qualifizierter Fachkräfte mit ausgeprägtem Erfahrungswissen funktionieren kann. Dabei spielen die Standorte in Deutschland nach wie vor eine herausragende Rolle. Ein Viertel des weltweiten Produktionsvolumens dieser Branche wird dort hergestellt und zu 70 Prozent exportiert. Kennzeichen der insbesondere kleinen und mittelständischen, meist im Familienbesitz befindlichen Unternehmen ist, dass nur wenige Informationen zur ökonomischen Situation oder Angaben zur Beschäftigungssituation zu finden sind. Hier setzt die Branchenanalyse an, indem sie die Branche in der Wertschöpfungskette der Holzwirtschaft verortet, zunächst die großen Unternehmender und dann anschließend die kleineren Unternehmen in kurzen Profilen darstellt, auf die qualitative und quantitative Struktur der Beschäftigung eingeht sowie Stärken und Schwächen dieser Branche analysiert.
