Abstract

Mit dieser Handlungshilfe setzt die Hans-Böckler-Stiftung ihre Reihe von Handlungshilfen zu den Themen "Finanzierung und Kapitalmarkt" sowie "Rechnungslegung" fort.Einen Anknüpfungspunkt, nämlich zum Umgang mit Finanzinstrumenten in der externen Rechnungslegung von Unternehmen, bietet die Broschüre zu der schon 2007 erschienen Handlungshilfe "Die Bilanzierung originärer Finanzinstrumente im Jahresabschluss nach HGB und IFRS".Sie ergänzt außerdem den ein Jahr später erschienenen Band "Derivate Finanzinstrumente im Jahresabschluss nach HGB und IFRS". Während wir dort ein grundlegendes, theoretisches Verständnis für derivative Finanzinstrumente, ihre Bewertung und ihren Ausweis im Jahresabschluss schaffen wollten, zeigt der hier vorliegende Band praktische Anwendungsfälle im Unternehmen. Dabei konzentrieren sich die Autoren auf die Nutzung von Derivaten als Mittel zur Risikoabsicherung, das so genannte "Hedging". Fallbeispiele und zahlreiche Abbildungen veranschaulichen die z. T. anspruchsvollen Techniken und geben so auch dem noch nicht mit dem Thema vertrauten Leser einen Einblick in das moderne Risikomanagement.
