Informierte Region: Regionale Entwicklungsperspektiven der Informationsgesellschaft

Abstract

Das Projekt "Informierte Region" beschäftigte sich zwischen 1996 und 1998 am Beispiel der Wirtschaftsregion Aachen mit der Frage, wie sich Arbeiten und Leben durch neue Informations- und Kommunikationstechnologien bis zum Jahre 2015 verändern werden. Für die vier Bereiche "Industrielle Produktion", "Dienstleistungen", "Konsum" und "Energie und Verkehr" wurde dabei auf der Grundlage von Szenarien aufgezeigt, welche Chancen für neue Produkte und Dienstleistungen in der Aachener Region bestehen, wie sich das Qualifizierungssystem für eine erfolgreiche Bewältigung der neuen Anforderungen verändern muss, aber auch, von welchen Voraussetzungen die Entstehung einer "Informatiosgesellschaft für alle" in dieser Region abhängig ist.
