Nachhaltig aus der Schuldenkrise - für eine finanzpolitische Zeitenwende: Bericht der finanzpolitischen Kommission der Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung

Abstract

Die Situation sieht eigentlich gut aus: Zum ersten Mal seit Jahrzehnten wird Deutschland keine neuen Schulden machen, die Zinsen sind auf einem Tiefststand, der Arbeitsmarkt wirkt robust. Doch ist die jetzige Finanz- und Wirtschaftspolitik auch für die Zukunft geeignet? Tatsächlich brauchen die sozialen Sicherungssysteme strukturelle Reformen sowie Bildung, Wissenschaft und Infrastruktur umfangreiche Investitionen, um die Basis für zukünftigen Wohlstand legen zu können. Schuldenmacherei wie auch das Sparen auf Kosten von Zukunftsinvestitionen sind jedenfalls der falsche Weg. Die Finanzpolitische Kommission der Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung beschreibt in dem vorliegenden Bericht eine 'Zeitenwende in der Finanzpolitik' und legt Empfehlungen vor, wie die öffentliche Hand ihre Handlungsfähigkeit bewahren kann, um zukunftsfähig zu werden.
