Abstract

Vor dem Hintergrund der Schwierigkeiten auf dem Lehrstellenmarkt wird derzeit heftig über die Ausbildungsreife der Lehrstellenbewerber diskutiert. Eine Reihe von Unklarheiten erschwert jedoch den sachlichen Umgang mit diesem Thema. Was verbirgt sich eigentlich hinter dem Begriff Ausbildungsreife? Ist Ausbildungsreife nur ein politisches Konstrukt, das von der Arbeitgeber- und Arbeitnehmerseite interessenpolitisch genutzt wird? Haben sich die Qualifikationen der heutigen Bewerber tatsächlich verschlechtert? Welche Veränderungen nehmen Einfluss auf die Reife der Bewerber? Und was kann getan werden, um die Ausbildungsreife der Jugendlichen zu verbessern? Die vorliegende Arbeit versucht anhand einer Befragung von Berufsbildungsexperten (BIBB Expertenmonitor) und Auszubildenden (Berufsschulen in Köln) Antworten auf diese Fragen zu geben. (BIBB)
