Ein Regionales Tourismus-Satellitenkonto für die Steiermark. Erstimplementierung für das Berichtsjahr 2018

Abstract

Der Tourismus ist für die Steiermark ein wichtiger Wirtschaftsfaktor: Laut dem von Statistik Austria und WIFO entwickelten regionalen Tourismus-Satellitenkonto beliefen sich die Gesamtaufwendungen für Urlaubs- und Geschäftsreisen, Verwandten- und Bekanntenbesuche sowie Aufenthalte an Zweitwohnsitzen und in Wochenendhäusern 2018 auf 3.492 Mio. €. Davon entfielen 34,6% auf ausländische Besucher und Besucherinnen, 64,7% auf inländische Reisende und 0,7% auf die Ausgaben im Zuge des Aufenthaltes in Zweitwohnungen. Die durch den Tourismus in der Steiermark direkt erwirtschaftete Wertschöpfung machte einschließlich geschäftlicher Reisen 2018 1.985 Mio. € und einen Anteil am Bruttoregionalprodukt von 4,1% aus. Zusammen mit den indirekten Effekten trug der Tourismus 2018 5,6% zur regionalen Wirtschaftsleistung der Steiermark bei. Zudem waren im Bundesland 2018 unmittelbar 26.800 Vollzeitstellen den charakteristischen Tourismusindustrien zurechenbar (4,8% an der Gesamtbeschäftigung). Über alle Wirtschaftsbereiche hinweg hingen direkt und indirekt 34.600 Vollzeitäquivalente bzw. 6,2% aller Arbeitsplätze in der Steiermark mit dem Tourismus zusammen.
