Abstract

The construction outlook for the 19 Euroconstruct countries had to be revised significantly downwards in light of the prolongation of the sovereign debt crisis. Total construction output is expected to decline by 1.6 percent in 2013. The forecasts for the Eastern European member countries are even worse (–2.5 percent). A return onto a positive growth path of the European construction market is only expected towards the end of the forecast period. The Euroconstruct Country Report provides detailed information on the construction market development and its fundamentals in the 19 Euroconstruct member countries until 2015. The forecasts and analyses are presented on the country level and are based on a comparable harmonised dataset for the major construction sectors and indicators. The macroeconomic framework is also included.
