Abstract

The Country Report of the 64th Euroconstruct Conference includes detailed forecasts, information and trends by sectors based on 19 Euroconstruct countries (Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, The Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovak Republic, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the UK). In the forecast period from 2008 to 2010, Poland will become the engine of growth. In all western European countries, by contrast, growth is set to slow, but the Scandinavian countries indicate positive trends, particularly in Norway and Sweden, but also in Denmark. The Austrian construction sector will grow above the average, thanks to important infrastructure projects and the increase in housing output.
