Strukturreformen in Österreich aus der Sicht der Lissabon-Agenda

Abstract

Die Studie analysiert das Wirtschaftswachstum sowie die Entwicklung der gesamtwirtschaftlichen Produktivität und der Wettbewerbsintensität in Österreich seit Ende der neunziger Jahre. Anhand der wichtigsten Eurostat-Strukturindikatoren, die den Umsetzungsprozess der Lissabon-Agenda begleiten, wird die österreichische Position im europäischen Vergleich dargestellt und beurteilt, wie sich die Strukturreformen auf den Güter- und Kapitalmärkten in der Wirtschaftsentwicklung der letzten Jahre niedergeschlagen haben. Österreich liegt in einigen Politikfeldern auf den vorderen Rängen unter den EU-15-Ländern, hat seine Position seit 1999 aber nur in wenigen Bereichen verbessert. Um den Ansprüchen der Lissabon-Strategie gerecht zu werden, bedarf es weiterer Reformschritte im Rahmen einer konsistenten Gesamtstrategie.
