Potentielle Exportmärkte. Eine Befragung zu Schwierigkeiten und Hindernissen bei der Erschließung neuer Märkte

Abstract

Eine Befragung österreichischer Industrieunternehmen durch das WIFO liefert ein detailliertes Bild der Exporthindernisse (geographische Entfernung, Informationsdefizite, kulturelle und sprachliche Unterschiede, rechtliche und politische Rahmenbedingungen) und der unternehmensspezifischen Faktoren, die ein Engagement auf Auslandmärkten erschweren. Erhoben wurden neben Unternehmensgröße, Umsatz oder Exportquote insbesondere die aktuellen Zielregionen und Schwerpunktländer für Exporte, die wichtigsten Motive, Voraussetzungen und Ziele für geplante Exporte in Regionen außerhalb Westeuropas sowie welche Hindernisse ausschlaggebend dafür sind, auf einen grundsätzlich für das Unternehmen interessanten Markt nicht zu exportieren. Im letzten Abschnitt des Fragebogens wurden die Unternehmen gebeten, die aus ihrer Sicht interessantesten Zukunftsmärkte anzugeben bzw. für Exportmärkte außerhalb der EU, die sie schon beliefern, die weitere Entwicklung der Exporte abzuschätzen.
