Prognose für 2020 und 2021: Tiefe, jedoch kurze Rezession in Österreich

Abstract

Die zur Eindämmung der Covid-19-Pandemie getroffenen Maßnahmen führen in Österreich zu einer Rezession. Mit –7,0% (gegenüber dem Vorjahr) sinkt die Wirtschaftsleistung 2020 deutlich stärker als in der Finanzmarkt- und Wirtschaftskrise 2008/09. Der Tiefpunkt scheint bereits durchschritten zu sein, die Rezession wird somit kurz sein. Dennoch wird die Wirtschaftsleistung am Ende des Prognosezeitraumes (Ende 2021) das Vorkrisenniveau noch nicht wieder erreicht haben.
