Prognose für 2010 und 2011: Stabilisierung der Konjunktur, kein dynamischer Aufschwung

Abstract

Die österreichische Wirtschaft schrumpfte im Jahr 2009 real um 3,4%, etwas weniger stark als im Durchschnitt des Euro-Raumes (–3,9%). Mitte 2009 setzte, getragen von der weltweit expansiven Wirtschaftspolitik, eine Trendwende ein, die den Warenexport und die Sachgütererzeugung erfasste. Die Erholung wird sich in den kommenden Monaten fortsetzen und 2010 in einem Wachstum des BIP um 1,5% resultieren. Allerdings kommt aufgrund der niedrigen Kapazitätsauslastung kein Investitionsaufschwung in Gang. Dies trägt dazu bei, dass die Arbeitslosenquote weiter steigt – sie erreicht im Jahr 2011 8,1% der unselbständigen Erwerbspersonen. Der Finanzierungssaldo des Staates verschlechtert sich auf etwa –5% des BIP.
