Prognose für 2004 und 2005: Boom der Weltwirtschaft strahlt allmählich auf Euro-Raum und Österreich aus

Abstract

Das Wachstum des BIP wird heuer real 1,7% erreichen. In den letzten Monaten verstärkte sich vor allem die Nachfrage aus Deutschland merklich. Bei einem Anhalten der vorsichtigen Konjunkturerholung im Euro-Raum könnte sich das Wirtschaftswachstum im kommenden Jahr auf 2,5% erhöhen. Dann werden auch Impulse aus dem privaten Konsum wirksam. Die Beschäftigung reagiert wie gewohnt positiv auf das Wirtschaftswachstum. Sonderfaktoren haben allerdings zur Folge, dass trotz Konjunkturerholung die Arbeitslosigkeit nicht sinkt und das Defizit im Staatshaushalt steigt.
